A seasoned M&A finance executive, she specializes in business strategy, succession planning, and operational scalability. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, Valerie leads by example—implementing repeatable, scalable processes that enhance efficiency and elevate the Advisor and client experience.
Valerie’s journey in financial services began in 2002 after earning her bachelor’s degree in finance from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She relocated from New York to Virginia, starting her career at American Funds as a Shareholder Services Representative. By 2004, she had transitioned into financial advising with Edward Jones, where she built a strong foundation in client service and strategic growth. In 2017, she joined Freedom Street Partners, where she played a pivotal role in the firm’s expansion—leading operations, driving scalability, and spearheading strategic initiatives. Her leadership was instrumental in taking the firm to market through a rigorous investment banking process, ultimately resulting in a successful merger with Steward Partners in 2023.
Beyond her professional achievements, Valerie is deeply devoted to her family. She and her husband, Errol, reside in Chesapeake, VA, with their three children, Joselina, Diego, and Rosalie. As a family, they share a passion for travel—especially to Italy, where they never miss an opportunity to catch a soccer match.
Valerie lives in Chesapeake, VA with her husband Errol and three children Joselina, Diego and Rosalie. If they are not at soccer practice, a soccer game, or watching soccer on television, you can find them at the movies, particularly superhero and Star Wars! They love to travel as a family as well. There is always either a cruise or trip to Disney in the works!
